whats this? anthony updating his xanga. mostly cause of new free time from the lack of marching tourture and most likely cause i have a journal due in english... (yes i realize i used "cause" instead of "because" but i will not conform to u, ms sylvester, in my own online jounal =P ).  lets see... ive neglected my xanga for 3 weeks now? i would skip all the days if i didnt have to conjore the typed equivalant of 4-5 hand writen pages. so lets jest pop out my calender and see wut i can invoke from my feeble short term memory.

the day has finaly come. the beginign of the end. behold...the day of UIL marching contest. the crazed consumption of my time has gone on long enough. its time to harvest this year's crop. 2 hours and 30 mins a day, 7 hours every football game have i given to this one single day. and it has come at last, for this will be my final one. also sad to note it will be mr duggans last one as well (hes retiring after about 30 years at dulles). i have no idea what will happen to the band next year. most likely it will run into the ground.. at least in its trasition years. the results of our hard work? strait ones (3 judges all giving dulles a division 1 rating, uil music contest are rated from a scale of 1-5, 1 meaning it was one of the best they have seen/heard and 5 meaning your preformance caused at least one judge's brain to spontaniously explode wile simultaniously giving him a heart attack and kidney failure). this will most likely conclude my life's marching band exprience.

today was the day i attended my first and most likely last azn festival aka import expo. 2 reasons for the usual cause of going are 1: to look at cars 2: to look at import models. i have avoided these expos due to 1: my ignorance in cars and 2: the oppertunity to look at scantly clad females can be obtained by means that require less effort. but this is my last year here so i thought i should experenice it at least once. prehaps the most amazing thing there were the cars i had no intrest in. the import models were sub par (ive seen beter on public television... and veiwing that is free). if it were these 2 prefrences alone, i wouldnt have hated the expo but wut irritated me was set of speakers every 10 feet u walked pumped up to the point of saturation (the point where the speakers can no longer take the magnitude of the amplification and as a restult produce distortion, i think). i could hear low frequnces from diffrent subs all over the room. most anoying. the price for food and drink were so high u would expect disney charecters to be modeling the cars. over all i wanted to shoot myself in the head (wich it felt like everytime i passed in front of a mid driver/tweeder satalite).

Kill Bill 4/5
rarly do i enjoy a random kill fest movie yet i find myself now so amused by this piece of work. it lacks a coherent plot yet i am still captivated by the journey. it lacks charecter development (as they tend to die before much can be seen about them) yet i still hope for them. so how can nit picky, overly technical anthony be amused by this story that lacks story? it is its stlye, its presentation, its expresion. to watch this movie is not to watch a story, its to watch art (yes maybe im overstating). tarantino has created somthing to be looked at. scenery and settings that you can tell have been looked over by him a 1000 times, fancy cinematography that is usualy a hidden homage to anothers work, and my favorite, the japanese influnce. quite a large portion of the cast and crew are japanese. the bad guys are katana wielding, kato mask wearing, yakuza, the fite scenes are choreographed in not chinese kung fu but japanese kenjutsu (samurai sword style) and to everyones surprise about 1/5 of the movie was in anime. the atmosphere woudlnt be complete without the wacky out of place music dat reminded me of tv shows from before i was born (logicaly what i jest said dosnt work out but the fact remains). this movie is not for everyone but worth a try.

YAY! ITS STUPID CHINK PROJECT DAY! yup couldnt go out or do much of anything except project. went to richards house. guess wut? he builds is own computers. he has almost as much kpop and jpop cds. he customizes his desktop. there are a few flaws. he uses Athlon processors (AMD scum...), hes not into jpop and kpop anymore, and hes a crack addict (not the drug and not to say i dont crack every now and then). buh its good to see sumone else do the same things i do. so we went thru the ordeal of paroting mandarin wich i supose for the most part was enjoyable. then i got to learn sum ping pong.

went to the mall on my mission to watch Underworld. met up with the clements fishies and atempted to pure preasure rj out of going to a bday party. this of course failed due to the iron ring leash nikiki has around his balls (=P jp rj i was jest tryin to give u a hard time). with the departure of rj, dissension begain to form in the fish with my plan to watch the movie so i quickly formulated plan b. irene and folks would meet me up at the movie theather and watch with me and with even more luck i encountered sum band friends in the theater. after the movie i got to meet alex's grl friend and sum indian guy with a realy realy kool phone (names already forgotten, sorry). my atempts to obtain the phone failed as such atempts usualy do.

Side Notes:

i think its time i start reveiwing one of my favorite hobies MOVIES! i will have a rating scale of 5, 5 being the best, 0 being the worst. and yeah yeah i know im too technical.

Once Apon a Time in Mexico 5/5
this movie was absolutly awsome. its been so long dat ive forgotten wut it feels like to see a good movie. it starts off with a humours exagerated retelling of antonio's charecter (i forgot their names as usual) and from dat u can tell irony will be heavly used thru out the movie. if u take a look at the plot u mite think its a lil thin and incoherent buh dats not realy the plot of the movie. the plot is more of a analysis of each charecter, their motives, their wants, their pain. as irene complained there was alot of random killing and normaly i wouldnt have liked dat buh rodriguez (the director) turned them into good grim humor. the cinamatography was wut made this movie realy stand out. you could practicaly feel the emotion he was trying to convey with his camara work. the music (wich he also scored himself) also caught my ears. this is not ur generic score. the heavy use of acoustic gutair was very nice.

Underworld 3/5
this movie wasnt horrible but i was expecting a lil bit more from it. i guess ill list the most obvious pros: good special effects, costumes ( i want some of their jackets. very stylish), set design, and props. they got all the bells and whistles buh wuts not so complete are the essentials. i hate to sound tingish (ud understand if u took dulles chink) but there arnt enough lines in the dialouge. charecter interaction outside of the fight scenes is kept to the bare mininum. most movies will creativly reveal plot points or backstory in ongoing dialoge but since i supose the script writers lacked creativity we get to hear the main grl charecter think up expositions as if she was thinking (talking) to us. the plot itself reuses alot of already used stuff from wut i call "scientific mythology" (explaining myth with science). practicaly all of it seemed repeatish from Blade and Blade 2. the whole vampirism (and in this movie, lycanishm?) is spread thru a retro viris, allergies to UV rays and silver, and other stuff like dat. i also thought blade and blade 2 did alot more work creating a vampire culture. so yeah as u guessed i prefer the blade movies over this one. its not a bad movie. in fact i plan on goin to see its sequel probably cause im a sucker for super powered romeo and julet couples.

well u mite notice sumthin new at the top of my xanga and go "i dont rember seeing dat". dats because its new. spent sunday getting an idea for it. i attualy jest wanted to mess with the new Fireworks MX 2004 buh thought wut the heck, mite as well make sumthin. the product u see now was finished on monday.

well its been awile cause of a busy week. im gonna make up entries of the interesting days.

got to drive alone for the second time in my life. went to the mall and almost ran into another car. found curry guy, james, rj, and daniel at the arcade. (2x) + (bar hug) = (rj failing) =P then i went to mai originaly plained group and watched becca continuously grab kevins ass. most amusing. went back to the arcade to get bagered by brian for a stress filled ride back home. no almost accidents this time and i found my way back to the mall! found the clements fish group (james, rj, daniel, curry guy who goes to dulles, and the addition of steve) eating to i went over and mooched off of their mexican made chink owned teriaki hibachi (i think dat place will always get to me). met back up with kevs group with the addition of dules james, kyle and marcus buh they left for tgif. rejoined the clements fish and drove em to the movies... then to barnes (nite time drving is scary crap). met up with kevs group at barnes and the 2 groups conferged exculding the couples who ran off to their designated corners. did the usual, talk, watch the fishies jump around, poked at rj's tricep (not fair... i eat and sleep too...). went home.

only interesting thing on this day is i got mai class rank. 86 out of 598! dats 14.3% baby! yeah yeah i know its not wonderfull or anything buh im not gonna be like thouse other azns whining about not being valedictorian. its a good rank and im happy for it. i didnt have to kill myself over the school years and kept a good balance of my achedemic and social life so i got no complaints. im predicting ill be around 13-12% at the end of this year (if everyone stays the same lol *crosses fingures*). my GPA can only go up from here cause of my crappy fish year.

Side Notes:

if ur curious about the song its Ayumi Hamasaki - M (Above & Beyond Mix). its essentialy a jap song remixed by a german dj to be played in german nite clubs and if uve ever been in germany u should know their prutty crazy with the techno. i think its a prutty good remix. the dotted 8th 16th (i think im hearing it right) doodle part in the verses are amusing, give me a sence of motion. he does alot of lifted upbeat quarters wich gives a nice suround feel.

well the weekends been uneventfull other then my sporatic burst of intrest in learning how to customize my desktop. friday was our first football game. i got a lil sick on friday and saturday most likely cause of the game. and thats about all i did on the long weekend.

monday and tues i went to school like usual. the current comp sci program is realy bugging me. my troll logic is failing me and no one can help me cause they dont understand the troll logistics i used in the program. ive only been progresing ont he program about 15-20% a day. not good. it rained on tues  got to sit inside for most of band. wends was a diffrent story. lucky tuan and his sprained ankle, didnt have to share the burn of the sun.

Andrew Short Day did not hapen as plained. apprently he only wears shorts when hes happy O_o the new posible short day is friday.

now about my desktop customizing craze i went thru over the weekend. 3 days of program hunting and theme finding has led to this: (click to enlargen)

if you're curious on what prgrams i used then here they are: StlyeXP - allows 3rd party themes in windows xp

DesktopX - allows the desktop to be rendered in DirectX (effects on the desktop like realtime shadows an other morphing effects. it can do alot of stuff similar to a 3d engine)

IconPacker - a easy icon changer tool. u could change ur icons manualy buh dats jest anoying and time consuming

CursorXP - allows ur cursor to be rendered in DirectX. looks alot beter then standard animated cursors

jest type the names of the programs in goggle and ull find em. IconPacker and CursorXP will work without forcing you to pay but DesktopX and StyleXP will only work for 30 days before it forces you to pay. if u need to "know" more about "how to pay" you can ask me. theres practicaly no spyware in any of the software and none of them do anything harmfull to ur comp (i didnt even see that many trashy registry entries). 

havnt blogged in the past 2 days cause of lack of time. band is a resorce hog. i dont expect to add anything tomarow too for the same reason. the most anoying thing hapened today. i went to lunch and in the span of 35 mins 3 fights broke out. THREE! dulles's average on campus fights are like 3 a year. this crap isnt supose to hapen to dulles, maybe is it was clements or elkins this would be normal (=P) but were the happy school (or as some would perfer to use the other synonym of "happy" known as "gay"). to make maters worse for me, ive recently found out that drew is been concocting a traitorous plan to replace me with this micheal lin. im on to u two >_<
